Why can’t I telephone to make a booking or get more information?

To keep prices down we operate the easyHotel business entirely through the web. Helpdesk and contact email details are available for any type of enquiry.

How do I book?

You can only book an easyHotel on our website – www.easyHotel.com

Why do I have to register my details when I book?

We ask you to register your details with us in order for us to manage your booking/s now and in the future as well as enabling you to access your booking details at any time. You can pre-register any time you visit the site via the “My Account” tab OR most simply when you make your first booking with us.

The price of the room I am interested in has gone up since I checked last time?

easyHotel bedrooms are sold on the basis of the earlier you book, the less you pay and periods of high demand cost more than less popular periods. Prices will generally increase, as you get closer to your date of stay.

For the best deals, book early and if possible be flexible about when you travel (staying in Edinburgh in August is more popular than January; staying on a Saturday night is more popular than on Sunday).

Can I just turn up without pre-booking?

It is possible to simply turn up at an easyHotel on the day and book online, if we have rooms available for that night. However it’s less risky and you will get the best prices if you plan ahead.

Can I request a room next to another room or on a specific floor?

Unfortunately rooms are allocated on a first come, first served basis and it is not possible to request rooms next to each other or on a particular floor.

My available credit seems to have been taken away from my account, why is this?

Following the cancellation of your booking, a credit was applied to your easyHotel customer account (net of £10) and this credit was available for redemption against future stays at any easyHotel over the following 12 months. This 12 month period has now expired and the amount has been debited from your account. The policy is stated in the Terms & Conditions on our website http://www.easyhotel.com/terms.htm and which you read and accepted prior to booking.

What is a Stay Charge?

This is the actual cost of your room/s for the duration of your stay.

What currencies can I pay for my stay in?

The currency that you pay for your booking in is dependent on the hotel location. In Edinburgh you will be charged in British pounds £GBP.

What happens if I don’t check-in on time?

You can check-in anytime after 3pm, until 10am of the following day, after which your room will be released.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, however an administration charge will be made and the balance of the amount you paid will be held in credit on your easyHotel customer account. This credit balance can be used against future bookings at any easyHotel within one year of the cancellation date.

How can I check if I successfully made a booking?

At the time you made your booking you will have been provided with a Booking Confirmation/Invoice and will also have been sent an email. To check the status if your booking/s – log into your account on the ‘My Account’ section of the website.

Do I need to bring my own soap, shampoo, etc?

We provide a quality bodywash/shampoo in your en-suite shower room.

Are guests allowed in the hotel / room?

You can invite guests to visit you, however only registered guests are allowed to stay overnight.

How big are the beds?

All the rooms have double beds at this easyHotel.

What do I need to bring with me for the purpose of check-in?

You must bring a copy of your confirmation with you; In addition some countries require that foreign nationals show their passport, you should check this prior to arrival at your destination.

How do I make a booking?

You can only make bookings through our website www.easyhotel.com. Alternatively you can visit any of our hotels and book your room via the internet, using the terminal in reception, please note bookings are subject to availability at time of booking.

What is the latest time I can check-out?

Check out is by 10:00am we also offer luggage storage for a small additional fee, subject to availability or you can book a late check out for a small additional fee (1pm).

Is breakfast included?

Our great value rates do not include breakfast. However our hotel staff will be able to provide details of where to go for a great value breakfast nearby, we have a discounted rate for our guests at the nearby Ryan’s Bar.  Coffee, Tea and light snacks will be available from the vending machines in the hotel.

Are all the rooms orange inside?

No more than one panel on one wall inside the rooms is orange. The remainder of the room is decorated in neutral colours.

I’m not able to print my confirmation ‘What do I do?’

You will need to provide proof of your booking arrival at your hotel. If you are unable to print the Booking Confirmation/Invoice at the time you made your booking you can log into your account on the ‘My Account’ section of the website and reprint the details of your selected booking.

Do you offer a transfer between the airport and hotel?

No, but the number 100 bus is a regular express shuttle which runs between the airport and the city (close to the main bus station, Edinburgh’s Waverley train station and Princes Street.) This service runs 24 hours (N22 – night service) a day, 7 days a week, every ten minutes during peak hours and every half an hour off-peak and is located nearby on Waverley Bridge.

What is the minimum age that a guest can stay on their own?

The minimum age that we will accept to stay on their own is 18yrs.

Are, extra beds, cots, or cribs available?

Because of the small size of our rooms, and for the comfort and safety of our guests, we are not able to provide additional beds, cots or cribs.

Is internet access available within the hotel?

Yes there is an internet terminal on the 2nd floor next to the vending machines also you can purchase wifi vouchers at reception.

What happens if I don’t check-out on time?

This may result in us having to charge you for a further night’s stay. Please advise the hotel staff if you wish to stay for additional nights.

Are the rooms air-conditioned?

The rooms are air-conditioned with comfort cooling and heating which is centrally controlled at reception, if you find the temperature to hot or too cold, please ask reception to adjust it.

Are the room’s en-suite?

Yes, all of our rooms provide a minimum of an en-suite shower room with basin & toilet.

Do I have to clean my own room?

Your room will have been cleaned & prepared for your arrival with fresh towels & bed linen. Should you wish your room to be cleaned, and linen or towels changed during your stay, this can be arranged for a small additional charge. You are NOT required to clean your room before you leave.

What items are prohibited in the hotel?

For the safety of all our guests, we would request that you do not bring the following items into our hotels: Toasters, Kettles, Any food heating equipment, Explosives, Fireworks, Guns, Toy or replica guns, Catapults, Household cutlery, Knifes with blades of any length, Darts.
